Alarm Detection and Suppression Systems alleges it is owed for work completed

Late 05

GRETNA – An alarm company in Louisiana is seeking damages claiming that it was never paid for a job that was completed.

Alarm Detection and Suppression Systems LLC filed a suit against Gibbs Construction LLC and UATC & Associates Inc. in the 24th Judicial District Court on May 16.

According to the claim, the plaintiff submitted a bid for materials to be furnished and work to be completed for the installation of a fire alarm system, as well as sound and video systems in the Andrew Sanchez Community Center & Gym. The bid was submitted on Feb. 26, 2013, and UATC accepted the bid, according to the suit. The suit states that ADS received joint checks from UATC for the payment of ADS' invoices. Though the plaintiff claims to have completed the work as outlined in the bid, the defendants have allegedly failed to pay the full amount due.

The defendants are accused of breach of contract.

The plaintiff is seeking $30,315.20 damages. The plaintiff is represented by Carroll Devillier Jr. of Breazeale, Sachse & Wilson in Baton Rouge. The case has been assigned to Division E Judge John J. Molaison Jr.
