State Bank & Trust Co. claims loan payments are past due

NEW ORLEANS – A financial institution alleges a Lafourche Parish corporation is overdue on payments for a loan.

State Bank & Trust Co. filed a complaint on May 31 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against vessel TLC Commander, LLC Marine Services Inc. and Ray Dufrene alleging that they failed to comply with the terms and provisions of the preferred mortgage agreement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it has suffered damages for not collecting the principal amount of $960,221.70, excluding interest, from the defendant. The plaintiff holds the vessel TLC Commander, LLC Marine Services Inc. and Ray Dufrene responsible because the defendants allegedly defaulted to the terms of the preferred ship mortgage agreement and refused and neglected to pay the principal amount that remains due and unpaid since Feb. 1.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants in the amount $960,221.70, plus legal interest, all costs of this proceedings and for such other relief as in law and justice it may be entitled to recover.
