Man alleges he was injured in accident on Veterans Boulevard

GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish man claims that he was caused personal injury when another driver caused a car to rear-end his vehicle.

Breion Arties filed a suit against the Federal Insurance Co., Broad Daylight LLC and Michael Love in the 24th Judicial District Court on May 26.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was driving on Veterans Boulevard in Jefferson Parish on Oct. 15, 2015, when the incident occurred. The suit states that the defendant, who was also operating a vehicle, rear-ended into a vehicle that was being driven by Anthony Vitter, which was pushed into the rear of Arties' vehicle, causing damages.

The defendant is accused of negligence through failure to drive the vehicle in a safe manner, failure to maintain a proper lookout and failure to maintain reasonable vigilance.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. He is represented by Lillie E. Joyce and Warren A. Forstall Jr. of New Orleans. The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy A. Miller.
