Treen Construction Inc. alleges it was not paid for home repairs

GRETNA – A construction company is seeking damages, claiming that a client refused to pay in full for completed work.

Treen Construction Inc. filed a suit against Sally Treuting in the 24th Judicial District Court on June 6.

According to the claim, the plaintiff and defendant entered into an agreement in November 2005 in which the defendant employed the plaintiff as a contractor for some repairs to her home in Metairie. The suit states that despite the work being completed, the defendant refused to make a complete payment for the work. The defendant allegedly only paid $137,535.79 of the total invoice of $190,485.53.

The defendant is accused of failure to pay.

The plaintiff is seeking $52,974.74 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Frederick R. Bott and Scott Hedlund of Deutsch Kerrigan in New Orleans. The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Scott U. Schlegel.
