Customer allegedly failed to pay off Bank of America credit card

GRETNA – Bank of America is seeking damages, claiming that a man failed to pay off his credit card balance.

Bank of America filed a suit against Anthony H. Guthans Jr. in the 24th Judicial District Court on June 24.


According to the claim, the plaintiff issued a credit card to the defendant with the agreement that the defendant would pay off the balance. The suit states that the defendant failed to pay off a balance of more than $31,000.

The defendant is accused of failing to pay off his credit card balance.

The plaintiff is seeking $31,043.22 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Bradley J. Chauvin, Benjamin G. Lambert, Sarena Y. Gaylor, Remy F. Symons, Elizabeth L. Hyman, Randall C. Roth and Blake J. Guidry of Couch, Conville & Blitt in New Orleans. The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy A. Miller.
