Jefferson Parish man alleges loans were not repaid by individual

GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish man alleges another individual made defamatory statements about him and also has not paid back loans.

Michael Audibert filed a suit against Amy Howard Crifasi in the 24th Judicial District Court on June 21.

According to the claim, the defendant began to defame and stalk the plaintiff beginning in July 2015. The suit states that before this, the defendant borrowed a sum of money from the plaintiff but has failed to pay the plaintiff back. Additionally, the defendant allegedly tried to attain a restraining order against the plaintiff, and then began with the acts of defaming the plaintiff, harassing the plaintiff, allegedly causing damages to the plaintiff in regards to the plaintiff's community, family and friends.

The defendant is accused of defamation and failure to pay the plaintiff for the funds borrowed.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Bradford H. Walker of Metairie. The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Donald A. Rowan Jr.
