Longshoreman alleges he was injured while working for Boh Bros. Construction

NEW ORLEANS – A couple seeks damages after the husband was allegedly injured while working as a longshoreman.

Robert Marrero and Karen Marrero filed a suit against Boh Bros. Construction Co. in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on July 25.

According to the claim, Robert Marrero was caused to slip and fall while traversing the rake on a barge on April 1, 2014, while working for his employer Boh Bros. The suit states that the fall resulted in severe and disabling injuries.

The defendant is accused of negligence through failure to provide a safe work environment for the plaintiff and failure to warn of a dangerous condition.

The plaintiffs are seeking an unspecified amount in damages. They are represented by Pete Lewis, Barrett R. Stephens and Sarah Delahoussaye Call of Lewis & Caplan in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Christopher J. Bruno.
