A/C Supply Inc. claims Texas man owes thousands for supplies

GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish supply company alleges a Texas man and his company did not pay for several thousand dollars of supplies.

A/C Supply Inc. filed a suit against John A. Magninat, also known as John Miller, doing business as HVAC Commercial Contractors and/or HVAC Commercial Sales, in the 24th Judicial District Court on Aug. 1.

According to the claim, the defendant completed a credit application with the plaintiff in April 2005, in which the defendant was the sole proprietor and personal guarantor for the balance incurred. The suit states that the defendant has thus failed to pay off the balance despite demands for payment.

The defendant is accused of open account, wrongful conversion, negligent or intentional misrepresentation and fraudulent inducement for failing to pay off the balance.

The plaintiff is seeking $72,781.30 in damages plus attorney's fees. The plaintiff is represented by John D. Miranda, Stephen K. Conroy and Amanda D. Hogue of Conroy Law Firm in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division O Judge Danyelle M. Taylor.
