NEW ORLEANS – A woman claims that a doorway's conditions caused her to fall and injure herself.

Charlotte Crist filed a suit against Anmari of Louisiana LLC, doing business as Bayou Burger and Sports Co., and XYZ insurance company in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Aug. 4.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was a guest at the defendant's business, located at 503 Bourbon St., on Sept. 10, 2015, when the incident occurred. The suit states that while she was walking into the restaurant, the plaintiff was caused to trip and fall on a ledge in the doorway and was injured.

Anmari of Louisiana LLC is accused of negligence through failing to properly maintain the premises, failing to warn guests of the dangerous conditions and failure to correct the condition.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. She is represented by John D. Sileo and Casey Moll of New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Sidney H. Cates IV.
