NEW ORLEANS — A remotely operated underwater vehicle (ROV) service provider is suing vessel operators, alleging unpaid debt and unpaid wages.

Delta SubSea filed a lawsuit July 28 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against M/V Siem Spearfish and Siem Offshore, alleging violation of the Master Service Agreement.

According to the complaint, in May, Delta SubSea provided ROV support aboard the defendants' vessel. To date, the suit says, the plaintiff has suffered financial damages for not collecting the defendants' remaining balance of $99,010, plus interest of $3,850.70.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants have failed and refused to pay the remaining balance.

Delta SubSea seeks a trial by jury, judgment for the principal amount of $99,010, attorney fees, interest, legal costs and all other relief the court deems proper. It is represented by attorneys Robert E. Couhig III and Jeffrey T. Pastorek of Couhig Partners LLC in New Orleans.
