Student allegedly failed to pay University of New Orleans for classes

GRETNA – The University of New Orleans is seeking damages for an open account.

The University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through the University of New Orleans filed a suit against Stacy Woods in the 24th Judicial District Court on Aug. 5.

According to the claim, the defendant was a student at the University of New Orleans and maintained an open account despite receiving the services from the institution.

The defendant is accused of open account against the plaintiff.

The plaintiff is seeking the balance of the account of $1,074.83 plus interest, attorneys' fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Wendy Ramnarine, assistant attorney general for the state of Louisiana.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Henry G. Sullivan Jr.
