Woman claims she sustained injuries after falling in Winn-Dixie

NEW ORLEANS – A woman is seeking damages following an incident where she allegedly fell in the Winn-Dixie store.

Pandora Minor has filed a suit against Winn-Dixie Montgomery Inc., and/or Winn Dixie Montgomery LLC, in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Aug. 15.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was in the Winn-Dixie located at 5400 Tcoupitoulas St. on Sept. 6, 2015, when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused to slip and fall on the wet floor in the store.

The defendant is accused of negligence by failing to properly maintain the premises of the store in a suitable manner to ensure the safety of customers.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. She is represented by Richard L. Olivier and Stephen Huber.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper D. Griffin.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court case number 16-8172.
