University of New Orleans claims former student owes more than $8,000

GRETNA – The University of New Orleans is seeking damages for an allegedly open account.

The University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through the University of New Orleans filed a suit against Roderick Darnell Johnson in the 24th Judicial District Court on Aug. 15.

According to the claim, the plaintiff admitted the defendant to the institution for the semester of Spring 2012. The suit states that the defendant failed pay for the balances of more than $8,000.

The defendant is accused of open account against the plaintiff.

The plaintiff is seeking $8,467.75 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Rokeya J. Morris of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division P Judge Lee V. Faulkner Jr.
