Woman is seeking damages following a slip and fall in an Outback Steakhouse

GRETNA – A woman claims that she was caused to slip and fall in Outback Steakhouse.

Sonia Marlen Mejia Pineda filed a suit against Outback Steakhouse of Florida, Corporate Creations Network Inc. and ABC insurance company in the 24th Judicial District Court on Aug. 15.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was a customer at the Outback Steakhouse in Marrero on May 1 and was caused personal injury when she was allegedly caused to slip and fall on the wet floor.

The defendants are accused of negligence through failing to maintain the premises in a safe manner or warn the customers of the present danger.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. She is represented by Cristian P. Silva and Christian Sauce of the Cristian P. Silva Law Office in Harvey.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy A. Miller.
