Metairie property owners accused of negligence after man falls on broken concrete

NEW ORLEANS – A man has filed suit against the owners of a Metairie property over allegations he was injured by broken concrete.

Jerome Edwards filed a suit against Latter & Blum Property Management Inc., Charles Beaupre, General Star Indemnity Co. and ABC insurance company in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Aug. 24.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was on the defendants' Metairie property on Oct. 27, 2015, when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused injury when he encountered a broken area in the concrete, which he fell into and caused injuries.

The defendants are accused of negligence through failing to provide a safe environment for the plaintiff and failing to repair the premises.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. He is represented by Vincent J. Glorioso Jr., Maria B. Glorioso and Vincent J. Glorioso of the Glorioso Law Firm in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Tiffany G. Chase.
