Man alleges estate was not maintained by executrix

Contract 08

NEW ORLEANS – A man is seeking damages, claiming that a property was not maintained as it should have been.

Anthony Pelicano Jr., as the administrator of the estate of Lena Pelicano Tranchina, filed a suit against Marjorie Tranchina Mauterer, as the executrix of the estate of Nicholas James Tranchina, and Robert Tranchina in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Aug. 23.

According to the claim, the plaintiff alleges that the property owned by Lena Pelicano Tranchina and her late husband Nicholas James Tranchina has not been preserved by the defendants. Marjorie Tranchina Mauterer is accused of breaching her duty to preserve the property by authorizing repairs that were substandard and not completed with required permits, allowing utilities to be disconnected and other issues. The plaintiff alleges these actions have caused him damages through the loss of the value of property.

The defendants are accused of breach of contract.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Richard A. Tonry, Raymond Brinson, Brian L. Glorioso and Douglass E. Alongia of Tonry, Brinson & Glorioso LLC of Slidell.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Christopher J. Bruno.
