LPI Inc. alleges it was not paid for work

Late 01

NEW ORLEANS – A company is seeking damages over claims it was never paid for work completed on a construction project.

LPI Inc. filed a suit against Horus Construction Services Inc., Fidelity and Deposit Co. of Maryland, Zurich American Insurance Co., Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. and Continental Insurance Co. in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was subcontracted to complete work for the defendants by Horus, and did so in a professional manner. The suit states, however, that the plaintiff was never paid fully for the work, despite submitting invoices to the Horus. The remaining defendants issued a payment bond for the project the plaintiff worked on, the suit states.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. It  is represented by Wayne J. Jablenowski of Slidell.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Ethel S. Julien.
