BATON ROUGE — Two Acadia Parish residents are suing an employer, employee and insurer, alleging negligence led to injuries to both plaintiffs in a car collision.
Lamar Lundry and Marie Bossier filed a complaint on Aug. 19, in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana against G&L Logistics LLC, Streamline Insurance Services Inc. and Troy Soria, alleging Soria operated a vehicle in a careless manner.
According to the complaint, on Sept. 21, 2015, Lundry and Bossier were driving a 2001 Chevrolet Sierra eastbound on Interstate Highway 10 in Lafayette Parish. Suddenly, the suit says, their vehicle was struck by a truck and trailer owned by G&I Logistics and driven by Soria.
The lawsuit states the collision caused the plaintiffs to sustain injuries that require medical care and treatment. The suit says they sustained physical pain and suffering and loss of enjoyment of life. The plaintiffs allege Soria failed to maintain a proper lookout and failed to maintain control of his vehicle.
Lundry and Bossier seeks trial by jury, damages in an amount to be determined at trial, plus interest, court costs and such other relief as the law provides. They are represented by attorneys Lawrence Blake Jones, David C. Whitmore and Patrick J. Eskew of Scheuermann & Jones in New Orleans.
