NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Redevelopment Authority alleges a property sold in the city was not rehabilitated as outlined in an agreement.

The New Orleans Redevelopment Authority filed a suit against Firldeal A. Davis and the city of New Orleans in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Sept. 12.

According to the claim, Davis and plaintiff entered into an agreement in which Davis was to make certain repairs to an Audubon Court property. The suit states that Davis breached the contract by failing to make the repairs as stated in the contract. The city of New Orleans allegedly cited Davis for allowing the property to become blighted and recorded a lien against it. The plaintiff seeks the city to show cause as to why the lien and fees assessed against the property should not be canceled so the property's title can be transferred to the plaintiff.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Victoria Hines in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper D. Griffin.
