3717-19 S. Galvez LLC alleges property sale was invalid, claims breach of contract

NEW ORLEANS – A limited liability company is seeking damages following the sale of a property and alleged breach of contract.

3717-19 S. Galvez LLC filed a suit against WFG National Title Insurance Co. and Archon Information Systems LLC, doing business as Civic Source LLC, in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Sept. 2.

According to the claim, the plaintiff purchased a certain piece of property in the parish through Civic Source LLC. The suit states that following the sale of the property, the plaintiffs were told that the purchase had been invalid because of procedural due process requirements and the property's defects. It alleges it entered into a settlement agreement to surrender all claims to the property in exchange for a refund.

The defendants are accused of breach of contract, negligence and detrimental reliance.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Michael L. DeShazo and Aaron N. Maples of Kinney, Ellinghausen, Richard and DeShazo in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette R. Irons.
