Capital One Bank is seeking damages, claiming more than $2,000 is owed on account

GRETNA – Capital One Bank is seeking more than $2,000 for an allegedly open account from a Jefferson Parish man.

Capital One Bank filed a suit against Lance L. Leavitt in the 24th Judicial District Court on Sept. 22.

According to the claim, the plaintiff issued a credit card to the defendant with the understanding and agreement that the balance would be paid off. The suit states that the plaintiff has not yet received payment for the open account of more than $2,000.

The defendant is accused of open account against the plaintiff.

The plaintiff is seeking $2,322.24 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Bradley J. Chauvin, Benjamin G. Lambert, Sarena Y. Gaylor, Remy F. Symons, Elizabeth L. Hyman, Jeremy L. Nusloch, Randall C. Roth and Blake J. Guidry of Couch, Conville and Blitt in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division K Judge Ellen Shirer Kovach.
