Woman claims that she was injured by folding chair at Shell Gas station

NEW ORLEANS – A woman claims that she fell because of a folding chair's placement at a gas station.

Georgia Collins filed a suit against Shell Oil Co., Infinity Fuels LLC, Cheema Properties LLC and Wynvina Four Inc. in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Sept. 28.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was trying to sit in a folding chair on Oct. 9, 2015, at a Shell Gas station in New Orleans when the incident took place. The suit states that she fell because the chair was place on unsecure ground by a work and her head, neck and back were injured.

The defendants are accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Charles Thomas and Stephen M. Huber of Huber, Slack, Thomas & Marcelle of New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robin M. Giarrusso.
