Shopper claims she was caused to slip and fall in a Walmart

NEW ORLEANS – A shopper alleges she was injured because of a spill in a store.

Jada Singleton, wife of and Quinn Singleton, individually and on behalf of their minor children, filed a suit against Wal-Mart Louisiana LLC in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court.

According to the claim, Jada Singleton was a guest at the Walmart located at 4001 Behrman Highway on March 29, 2015, when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused to slip and fall on a liquid that had been left on the floor.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiffs are seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiffs are represented by Jack E. Truitt, Pamela Seeber Chehardy, Alexandra J. Schultz and Ryan D. Kelley of the Truitt Law Firm in Convington.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Regina Bartholomew Woods.
