Woman is suing Ochsner Hospital after she was allegedly caused to trip and fall by a rug

GRETNA – A woman claims that a rug at a medical center caused her injuries.

Parnell G. Morris filed a suit against Ochsner Health System, doing business as Ochsner Hospital/Main Campus, in the 24th Judicial District Court on Oct. 12.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was attending her appointment on Nov. 17, 2015, when the incident occurred. The suit states that as she entered the rear door of the facility she was caused to trip and fall on a rug. The result of the fall was that the plaintiff had to be admitted to the emergency room and has had to receive treatment for the complications.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by J. Michael Daly of Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Donald A. Rowan Jr.
