Man alleges Hologic Inc. subjected him to discrimination because of his age

Wrongful term 07

NEW ORLEANS – A territory manager alleges he was terminated because of his age by a Covington employer.

Eric Babcock filed a complaint on Oct. 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Hologic Inc. and Brandy Ratliff alleging violation of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff, 62, alleges that on April 5 he was discharged from his employment with the defendants. The plaintiff holds Hologic Inc. and Ratliff responsible because the defendants allegedly subjected him to disparate treatment on the basis of his age, retaliated against him for engaging in protected activities and unlawfully terminated his employment and replaced him with a younger employee.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensation for all sums as are reasonable under the premises, attorneys’ fees, costs and expenses and all other relief to which he is entitled. He is represented by Christa Hayes Forrester of Peragine Law Firm LLC in Covington.
