Man alleges he was injured while in a McDonald's

NEW ORLEANS – A man claims that he was caused injury in a McDonald's.

David Haynes and Miguel Rivera filed a suit against McDonald's Corp. and CLB Investments LLC, doing business as McDonald's, in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Oct. 13.

According to the claim, Haynes, was an invitee at the McDonald's located at 711 Canal St. on Jan. 6 when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused personal injury by an unspecified dangerous situation.

The defendants are accused of negligence.

Haynes is seeking an unspecified amount in damages while Rivera alleges loss of consortium. The plaintiffs are represented by Laurence Cohen and Anthony Lanasa of New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge Clare Jupiter.
