NEW ORLEANS – A tankerman alleges he was injured while working because of an unseaworthy vessel.

Jason Antonio Clark Sr. filed a complaint on Oct. 5 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Cenac Marine Services LLC, ABC insurance LLC and the vessel Genie Senac alleging negligence and unseaworthiness.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 30, he was working a crew member of M/V Genie Senac when he was injured. To date, the suit states he continues to suffer serious injuries to his mind and body, hardship, deprivation and humiliation. The plaintiff holds Cenac Marine Services LLC and ABC insurance LLC responsible because defendant Cenac allegedly failed to provide a seaworthy vessel, failed to provide adequate manpower and failed and refused to provide timely maintenance and cure.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants for damages, plus interest and for all other equitable maritime relief. He is represented by David Band of The David Band Law Firm in New Orleans.
