Patron alleges he was caused to slip and fall on a wet floor at Baskin Robbins

GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish man claims that he was caused to slip and fall in a Baskin Robbins.

Derek Ford filed a suit against JGS Enterprises Inc., doing business as Baskin Robbins Store No. 360951 in the 24th Judicial District Court on Oct. 20.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was at the defendant's property on Jan. 10 in Kenner when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused to slip and fall on a wet substance that had been left on the floor when an employee was cleaning.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Joseph G. Albe Jr. of the Albe Law Firm in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division P Judge Lee V. Faulkner Jr.
