Man alleges he was expelled from university after false sexual assault complaint

NEW ORLEANS – A St. John Parish man claims that he was wrongfully accused of sexual assault.

Leonard Davis filed a suit against Jane Doe in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Oct. 27.

According to the claim, both parties were students at Tulane University and that Doe falsely accused him of sexually assaulting her at her campus apartment. The suit states she filed the allegedly false complaint on March 29 and that the complaint caused him to be expelled from the university.

The defendant is accused of defamation of character.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by G. Frederick Kelly III, Richard V. Kohnke Sr. and Edward F. Kohnke IV, all of New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Ethel S. Julien.
