Metairie man alleged to owe more than $23,000 to credit union

GRETNA – A credit union with an office in Harahan alleges it is owed more than $23,000 in damages from a Metairie resident.

ASI Federal Credit Union filed a suit against Manuel Ochoa, also known as Manuel Galvez or Manuel Ochoa-Galvez, in the 24th Judicial District Court on Nov. 4.

According to the claim, the plaintiff issued services to the defendant. The suit states that the defendant has failed to make payments on his account and now owes more than $23,000.

The defendant is accused of open account against the plaintiff.

The plaintiff is seeking $23,756.50 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Darryl M. Fontana and Jules A. Fontana III of Fontana & Fontana of New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Michael P. Mentz.
