Woman alleges she fell during physical therapy at LSU Public Hospital

NEW ORLEANS – A woman claims that she was caused to fall during physical therapy.

Robin Williams filed a suit against John Marius PT-A, and Iterim LSU Public Hospital, formerly known as Medical Center of Louisiana at New Orleans, in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Nov. 4.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was receiving physical therapy from the defendants on May 13, 2013. The suit states that Marius left the plaintiff standing and unattended, causing the plaintiff to be at risk when she fell.

The defendants are accused of negligence through failing to provide the acceptable standard of care.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Vincent E. Odom, T. Carey Wicket III and J. Alex Watkins of Capitelli & Wicker in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Kern A. Reese.
