Former National Black MBA Association president files defamation suit

NEW ORLEANS – A man alleges he was wrongfully accused of misappropriation of money.

Dorien Nunez filed a suit against National Black MBA Association Inc., New Orleans Chapter and Adrine Harrell-Carter in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Nov. 9.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was formerly president of National Black MBA Association Inc. The suit states that he was terminated and charged with misappropriation of funds, which he alleges is false.

The defendants are accused of defamation.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. He is represented by Muriel O. van Horn in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robin M. Giarrusso.
