NEW ORLEANS — An Orleans Parish man is suing a real estate partnership, alleging breach of contract.

Robert Armbruster filed a lawsuit Nov. 11 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Avalon Real Estate Partners LLC and Steven Anderson, alleging they breached the terms of an operating agreement.

According to the complaint, Armbruster was deprived of all value of his capital contribution and of any right to challenge or even to discover the actions of the defendants. The plaintiff alleges Avalon failed to establish separate capital accounts to be maintained for each member and Anderson treated Armbruster's $500,000 initial contribution as his own money and converted it to his own use.

Armbruster seeks trial by jury, judgment for the return of his capital contribution of $500,000, plus interest, expenses, attorney fees and equitable relief. He is represented by Ryan E. Beasley Sr. of Law Office of Ryan E. Beasley Sr. in New Orleans.
