Woman alleges hose, wet floor at Circle K caused her injuries

NEW ORLEANS – A woman claims that she slipped and fell on wet floor at a convenience store.

Alisa Dinkins filed a suit against The Travelers Indemnity Co., Circle K Stores Inc., Marilyn Evans, Mississippi Farm Bureau Casualty Insurance Co., Image Masters Inc., C Store Renovations Inc., and/or C Store Renovations LLC, Harold Bainum Jr., Harold Dittmann Jr. and Larry Jones in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Nov. 18.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was an invitee at the Circle K convenience store on Howard Avenue in New Orleans on Nov. 21, 2015, when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused to trip and fall on a hose and the wet floor near the entrance of the store, causing injuries to the plaintiff.

The defendants are accused of negligence through failing to provide a safe environment for guests.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. She is represented by R. Brent Cueria of Cueria Law Firm in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Robin M. Giarrusso.
