NEW ORLEANS – A man claims that he was injured while working on a roof.

Pablo Vasquez filed a suit against Lona Magee Causey, Cesar Fuentes, and ABC insurance company in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Nov. 18.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was completing roof work at Causey's property at 7724 Primrose Drive on Sept. 16, when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused to slip and fall on the materials, resulting in injuries to his hand. The suit explains that the homeowner was aware that Fuentes was not licensed or insured, but continued to employ him in order to keep the cost of the repairs down.

The defendants are accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. He is represented by Gabriel O. Mondino of Burgos & Associates in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper D. Griffin.
