Man alleges Bossier Casino Venture wrongfully terminated him

Wrongful term 02

LAFAYETTE – A Texas man alleges he experienced disparate treatment while employed by a Lafayette casino and was unlawfully terminated.

Alonzo Gerald Richardson filed a complaint on Nov. 18 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana against Bossier Casino Venture Inc. alleging retaliation and violation of the Civil Rights Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 24, 2014, he was terminated from his employment. The plaintiff holds Bossier Casino Venture Inc. responsible because the defendant's employees allegedly subjected him to disparate treatment, adverse employment conditions, retaliation and termination because of his sexuality.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for damages amounting to $300,000. He is representing himself.
