NEW ORLEANS – A woman alleges she was injured after pothole caused her to trip and fall.
Sarra Marie Gould filed a suit against New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Nov. 22.
According to the claim, the plaintiff was walking to her car, which was parked on Octavia Street, on Nov. 23, 2015, when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff's foot became stuck in a hole and that was caused to fall and be injured.
She alleges the street's concrete had been left in a state of disrepair by the defendant after work had been completed.
The defendant is accused of negligence through failing to properly repair or warn of the danger.
The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. She is represented by R. Glenn Cater and Amanda C. Graeber of Cater & Associates in New Orleans.
