AT&T Louisiana alleges customer fails to pay bills

LAFAYETTE — AT&T Louisiana is suing a New Orleans customer, alleging breach of contract in failing to pay bills.

Bellsouth Telecommunications LLC, doing business as AT&T Louisiana, filed a lawsuit Nov. 22 in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana against New Orleans Teleport Inc., doing business as Calls Plus, alleging failure to comply with the Bellsouth primary rate and the ISDN service agreements.

According to the complaint, AT&T entered into two contract agreements with Calls Plus. The suit says the defendant owes $127,666.34 and under the first agreement and $20,311.02 under the second agreement. 

AT&T Louisiana seeks trial by jury, judgment for damages in an amount to be proven at trial, attorney fees, costs of suit and all other proper relief. It is represented by attorneys Brian A. Homza of Cook, Yancey, King & Galloway APLC in Shreveport, and by Shaun P. Duffy of Assayag Mauss in Costa Mesa, California.
