Individual alleged to owe more than $14,000 to American Express

NEW ORLEANS – American Express is seeking damages for an allegedly open account from an Orleans Parish resident.

American Express Centurion Bank filed a suit against Rocco Cardona in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Dec. 8.

According to the claim, the plaintiff issued a credit card to the defendant which he failed to pay off. The suit states that the plaintiff is owed more than $14,000.

The defendant is accused of open account against the plaintiff.

The plaintiff is seeking $14,859.79 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Jason Olivier of the DeGrasse Law Firm in Mandeville.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robin M. Giarrusso.
