American Express alleges credit card customer owes more than $22,000

NEW ORLEANS – American Express Bank is suing an Orleans Parish credit card customer, alleging he owes more than $22,000.

American Express Bank FSB filed a lawsuit Dec. 9 against Walter Davis Sr. in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging an open account.

According to the claim, American Express issued a credit card to Davis that he has failed to pay off. The suit says the balance on the card is $22,244.22.

American Express Bank seeks all money owed, court costs and attorney fees. It is represented by attorney Jason Olivier of The DeGrasse Law Firm PC in Mandeville.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Regina Bartholomew Woods.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case number 16-12055.
