NEW ORLEANS – A university is seeking funds from an open account.
Southern University board of supervisors through Southern University-Baton Rouge filed a suit against River Smith in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court.
According to the claim, the defendant was a student at the Southern University for the spring, summer and fall 2014 semesters and allegedly failed to pay the school.
The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Wendy Ranmarine, assistant attorney general.
The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette R. Irons.
