GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish couple is suing health providers, alleging a doctor failed to help the wife's back condition.
Donna M. Gilly, wife of/and Kurt Kleindienst filed a suit Dec. 16 against Dr. James E. Ricciardi , LSU Healthcare Network and the Board of Supervisors of Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging failure to properly treat the plaintiff.
According to the claim, Donna Gilly had back surgery completed by Ricciardi in 2006. The suit states taht following the operation, Gilly's back pain only worsened, causing the plaintiff to require additional medical procedures that still did not relieve her pain.
The defendants are accused of negligently failing to take the necessary measure of care when treating the plaintiff.
Gilly and Kleindienst seek damages, interest, attorney fees, court costs and all equitable relief. They are represented by attorney Anthony L. Glorioso of Gretna.
The case has been assigned to Division H Judge Henry G. Sullivan Jr.
