Funding company alleges customer owes more than $2,000

GRETNA – A funding company is suing a customer, alleges she owes more than $2,000.

Midland Funding LLC filed a lawsuit Dec. 14 against Vanessa Stanford in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging failure to pay.

According to the claim, Stanford owes Midland Funding $2,071.32. The suit states the plaintiff believes the Jefferson Parish School Board is the employer of Stanford and is indebted to her. The plaintiff seeks payment of the lost funds and that the Jefferson Parish School Board act as garnishee of the funds.

Midland Funding seeks the $2,071.32, plus interest and court costs. It is represented by attorneys at Couch, Conville & Blitt LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Michael P. Mentz.
