University seeks unpaid balance of more than $2,500

NEW ORLEANS – A state university is seeking more than $2,500 for an unpaid balance.

The University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors, through University of Louisiana at Lafayette, filed a lawsuit Dec. 2 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against Clayton J. Wilkerson (Zea Lafayette LLC, garnishee) alleging failure to pay.

According to the complaint, Louisiana-Lafayette issued goods an/or services to Wilkerson, who came to owe $1,166.43 plus interest. The suit states the plaintiff believes Zea Lafayette to be garnishee, indebted to Wilkerson, and seeks full payment for what is owed: $2,676.94.

Louisiana-Lafayette seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. It is is represented by attorney Wendy Ranmarine of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robin M. Giarrusso.
