VFS US LLC alleges it is owe more than $1 million from Louisiana companies

LAFAYETTE – A North Carolina company alleges it is owed more than $1 million for promissory notes.

VFS US LLC filed a complaint on Dec. 15 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, Lafayette Division against Louisiana Liquid Services LLC, Fournerat & Toups Farms LLC, Fournerat Family LLC and Logan C. Fournerat alleging default on promissory notes.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in June 30, 2014, plaintiff financed defendant Louisiana Liquid Services' purchase of commercial equipment, which were guaranteed by Fournerat Farms, Fournerat Family and Logan Fournerat. As of the filing of this complaint, the amounts of $1,489,613.63 and $599,348.36 allegedly remain unpaid.

The plaintiff holds Louisiana Liquid Services LLC, Fournerat & Toups Farms LLC, Fournerat Family LLC and Logan C. Fournerat responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to make timely payments when due.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants under the Louisiana Liquid Agreements, in solido, for the sum of $599,348.36 and under the Louisiana Crane Agreements, in solido, for the sum of $1,489,613.63, plus interest and costs for this action and such other relief it may be entitled. It is represented by Gregory F. Rouchell and L. Cole Callihan of Adams and Reese LLP in New Orleans.
