Investment company alleges attorney owes more than $22,000

GRETNA – An investment group is suing a legal consultant, alleging failure to take the appropriate actions.

Lily Rose Investment Group LLC filed a suit against David W. Birdsong Jan. 3 in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging breach of contract in failing to provide proper legal counsel.

According to the complaint, Lily Rose retained Birdsong as an attorney to give legal advice in the sale and transfer of a mortgage. The suit states the defendant failed to perform the necessary steps to delay the foreclosure of the property in question.

The lawsuit states Birdsong's lack of legal options resulted in the plaintiff suffering a loss of $22,500.

Lily Rose Investment Group seeks the $22,500, plus court costs and attorney fees. It is is represented by attorney Evan Park Howard III of Lily Rose Investment Group in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge June Berry Darensburg.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case number 767813.
