Law firm alleges client owes more than $29,000

GRETNA – A law firm is suing a former client, alleging he owes more than $29,000.

Chehardy, Sherman, Williams, Murray, Recile, Stakelum & Hayes LLP and Conrad Meyer filed a lawsuit Dec. 28  against Dr. Patrick M. Dennis in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging unpaid fees.

According to the claim, Dennis sought legal advice from the law firm and accumulated a balance of $29,165.50. The suit states the defendant has failed to pay back the plaintiffs for their legal assitance.

The plaintiff seeks the $29,165.50 plus interest, as well as attorney fees and court costs. It is represented by attorney Conrad Meyer of Chehardy, Sherman, Williams, Murray, Recile, Stakelum & Hayes LLP in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Stephen D. Enright Jr.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case number 767742.
