GRETNA – Wells Fargo is suing two customers, alleging they owe nearly $60,000 for a promissory note.
Wells Fargo Bank, NA filed a lawsuit Dec. 21 against Preston E. Barnes, also known as Preston Barnes, and Latrenda Sylvester Barnes, also known as Latrenda S. Barnes and Latrenda Barnes, in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging failure to pay off a promissory note.
According to the claim, Wells Fargo is the holder and owner of a promissory note that was executed by the defendants. The suit states the promissory note of $67,127 began in August 1998 and required installments of payments to be made regularly.
The lawsuit alleges the defendants remain indebted for $57,615.15, plus interest.
Wells Fargo Bank seeks the sums due plus interest, attorney fees and court costs. It is represented by attorney Corey J. Giroir of The Law Offices of Herschel C. Adcock Jr. in Baton Rouge.
The case has been assigned to Division H Judge Glenn B. Ansardi.
