NEW ORLEANS – U.S. Bank is suing a promissory note customer, alleging he owes more than $50,000.
U.S. Bank NA, as trustee for Mid-State Trust VI, filed a lawsuit Dec. 29 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against Kenneth Chancellor, alleging failure to pay off a promissory note.
According to the complaint, U.S. Bank is the holder of a promissory note executed by Chancellor in 1995. The suit states the principal sum of the note was $205,308, and that the balance was to be paid off in installments. The lawsuit states Chancellor still is indebted to the plaintiff for $54,204.07, plus interest.
U.S. Bank seeks the money owed, all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. It is represented by attorney Rader Jackson of Jackson & McPherson LLC in New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robin M. Giarrusso.
