Customer blames clothing store for injuries

GRETNA -- A customer is suing a Kenner clothing store, alleging the defendant's negligence caused her to slip and fall while shopping.

Delmy Lagos filed a lawsuit Jan. 10 against Image Clothing of Louisiana Inc, doing business as 3.6.5 + By Image, in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging negligence.

According to the claim, on Aug. 9, 2016, Lagos was shopping at 3.6.5 + By Image, 1401 W. Esplanade Ave., Kenner, when she was caused to slip and fall on a foreign substance that was left on the ground, resulting in injuries.

The defendant is accused of negligence through failing to properly maintain the premises of the store, failing to clean the mess or place a warning sign of the danger that was possible.

Lagos seeks damages for medical expenses, loss of income and loss of enjoyment of life, plus attorneys fees and court costs. She is represented by attorneys Anthony J. Impastato of Frischhertz, Poulliard, Frischhertz & Impastato LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division K Judge Ellen Shirer Kovach.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case number 767945.
